Electric & Illuminated Signs in Houston
Channel letters, lighted cabinets, LED displays, and neon, wired to code and UL-listed.
WHAT IS AN ELECTRIC SIGN?
An electric sign is any sign that lights up, and lighting a sign correctly is where experience shows. That covers illuminated channel letters, lighted cabinets and box signs, LED displays, neon, and lit pylons and monuments. Getting the glow even, the wiring safe, and the permit approved is the difference between a sign that lasts and one that fails inspection.
4D SignWorx is a licensed, bonded Texas electrical sign contractor, and we’ve wired illuminated signs to code across Houston since 1968. From classic neon to modern LED, every lighted sign we build is UL-listed and built to pass inspection the first time.
We also restore what’s already there. Historic marquees and vintage neon can usually be brought back rather than replaced: tubing rebuilt, structure and facade repaired, and the whole assembly rewired to current code. Our restoration of the River Oaks Theatre marquee in Houston ran about 800 labor hours and roughly a quarter mile of new wiring.

WIRED TO CODE
Licensed, UL-listed, inspection-ready
Electrical signage has to be wired, grounded, and permitted correctly. Cutting corners here is how signs fail or fail inspection. As a licensed electrical sign contractor, we engineer the electrical, use UL-listed components, and handle the permits, so your sign is safe, compliant, and dependable for years.

BEFORE IT SHIPS
Every lit sign runs 72 hours before it leaves our shop.
A bad LED or a weak transformer almost always shows itself in the first few days. So before any lit sign leaves the shop, we run it a full 72 hours: powered on, lights burning, the whole system under load. If something’s going to quit, it quits here on our bench where we just fix it, not on your building a week after the crew packs up. Three days lit and holding, then it ships.
The SHOR on Clear Lake monument, lit on our floor at hour 72 and again after it was installed.
